I am all-for smart people doing wise, practical things together, and when I learn about especially cool developments, it really makes me want to shout.
For example, Business Insider editor Ariel Schwartz once wrote a great story entitled “SkillCloud: A Platform For Companies To Appreciate Workers Beyond Resumes.” The imaginative and important website Ariel described for the readers of Fast Company didn’t yet exist, although the team behind it (Design Icon) was reportedly awarded $5,000 — plus free mentoring from the renowned design icon frog and global knowledge service provider LRN. Ariel’s story also informed me about the Reinvent Business Hackathon event frog and LRN have established that has fostered this project while undoubtedly helping a lot more entrepreneurs get their groundbreaking ideas together and off the ground.
