Around here, we are already super-excited about Dec. 12, 2012, for many reasons. First, it is our son Riley’s ninth birthday — but also, it’s the date that The Concert For Sandy Relief will be broadcast to over one billion people worldwide. The concert event will air on 34 US networks and television feeds worldwide, in addition to streaming online and on the radio.
Scheduled to perform are Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Dave Grohl, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Eddie Vedder, Roger Waters, Kanye West, The Who and Paul McCartney with more top artists to be announced. Co-presented by Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio and The Madison Square Garden Company, 12.12.12 promises the biggest artists in music coming together to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Proceeds benefit the Robin Hood Relief Fund. Thanks to the generosity of concert organizers, sponsors, and Robin Hood’s board of directors, every single penny from ticket purchases and donations will go to serve the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
